Valerie Smith & Becky Buller Hit Full Stride with Here's a Little Song and Garner New Chart Action!
"Two of the freshest voices in bluegrass today!" Country Standard Time NASHVILLE, TN - The brand new duet album, Here's a Little Song, from longtime bluegrass favorites, Valerie Smith & Becky Buller, along with Valerie's band, Liberty Pike, continues its successful run with brand new chart action on multiple charts in March and April. The song "Whisper Baby" has climbed to #21 on the Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine National Survey for the month of April and the album is at #3, up from #5, on the Roots Music Report.

Respected music journalist and BluegrassSpecial founder, David McGee, called the album "unassuming and inspired"and called bandmates Smith & Buller, "two gifted women of different generations together in song, and they proceed to make sure you don't forget that they passed through your life...exemplary vocalists."

A full tour schedule and packed houses have afforded the band some wonderful opportunities in recent weeks with appearances on the Good Morning Show on WSFD Channel 18 in Florida as well as Froggy 93.5 FM, WPRY 95.3 FM and on the front page of the Perry News Herald in Perry, FL.

The band is touring in support of Here's a Little Song, featuring the sisterly harmonies of Smith & Buller, along with Liberty Pike. The Louisville Music News recently said, "the project showcases expertly-crafted songs and high-energy performances."

The album was recently honored with the #27 spot on the Top 50 Bluegrass Albums of 2008 list from popular radio station WNCW out of Spindale, NC, and was also named a Top 5 finalist in the Independent Music Awards Americana Album category for 2009.

The band recently welcomed new band member and multi-instrumentalist Ernie Evans to the fold and will head to Missouri and Minnesota in the near future. For more information on VS&LP and the new album, Here's a Little Song, please email shari@goodstuffpr.com or visit -
