Franklin, TN Resident, Amanda Waters, featured in new family movie, Mandie and the Secret Tunnel
Tennessee Premiere Thursday, Oct 8th at The Factory in Franklin
FRANKLIN, TN - Franklin resident and actress, Amanda Waters, plays Polly in the newly released family movie, Mandie & the Secret Tunnel. The movie will have its Tennessee premier at Jamison Hall in The Factory in Franklin, on Thursday, Oct. 8th at 7pm. Tickets are available to the public by visiting http://tickets.mandiemovies.com/
Amanda (Hannah Montana: The Movie, Becoming Jesse Tate) stars in the new family-friendly film alongside Dean Jones (Disney's The Love Bug) and Lexi Johnson (The Sugar Creek Gang), two actors who also play featured characters in the movie. "My family and I are big Disney fans and working with Dean Jones was such an honor. He is really a Disney legend, so it was an amazing experience to be on set with him." said Amanda.
Waters spent several weeks filming on location in North Carolina and plays Polly, the best friend of Mandie, the movie's main character. Waters will attend the screening with Producers Owen Smith and Joy Chapman, along with fellow cast members.
The movie, Mandie and the Secret Tunnel, is set in 1899 and is based on the bestselling books by Lois Leppard, now with over 7 million copies sold. When tragedy strikes home, Mandie embarks on an epic journey across majestic mountains, through twisting tunnels, beyond the grip of imaginative impostors into the secrets of her past.

Amanda Waters has appeared in multiple family oriented films including Much Ado About Middle School, Hannah Montana: The Movie, and Becoming Jesse Tate. Waters was also chosen by Harper Collins publishers, from a nationwide search, to be the modern face of Laura Ingalls Wilder, on the cover of the newly updated Little House on the Prairie book series, repackaged in recent years for a new generation of Little House readers. The Little House series of books remains one of the top selling book series of all time.
